As monsoon activity is expected to increase across coastal Andhra Pradesh, Bapatla Municipal authorities have launched a special sanitation and drainage maintenance campaign. Municipal workers have been deployed across various wards to remove silt, clear stormwater drains, and address waterlogging-prone areas.
Officials stated that the initiative aims to prevent flooding during heavy rainfall and improve public hygiene. Special attention is being given to low-lying residential colonies where water stagnation has been a recurring issue in previous monsoon seasons. Residents have been advised not to dump waste into drainage channels and to cooperate with sanitation teams.
