In an effort to improve traffic management and reduce accidents, authorities have begun installing new traffic signals and road safety infrastructure at major junctions across Bapatla town. The initiative comes in response to increasing vehicle movement and concerns raised by residents regarding congestion during peak hours.
Traffic police officials stated that new signal systems, pedestrian crossings, road markings, and caution boards are being installed at busy intersections. Awareness campaigns are also being conducted in schools, colleges, and public places to educate citizens about traffic rules and safe driving practices.
Local residents welcomed the move, noting that improved traffic regulation will help reduce delays, improve pedestrian safety, and create a more organized transportation system within the town. Officials indicated that additional junctions may be included in future phases of the project based on traffic studies and public feedback.
