The Agriculture Department has initiated a large-scale seed distribution program across Bapatla district to support farmers ahead of the Kharif season. Certified seed varieties of paddy, maize, pulses, and oilseeds are being supplied through government centers at subsidized rates.
Officials stated that quality seeds are essential for improving productivity and ensuring better resistance to pests and diseases. Farmers have welcomed the initiative, noting that access to certified seeds helps reduce cultivation risks.
